Spending Your Birthday With The Creator.

"Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, & before you were born I  C O N S E C R A T E D  you;  I appointed you." Jeremiah 1:5

Elizabeth means: consecrated to God.

Today was the day God brought me into this world. Today I am 17! And I have decided something. 

Birthdays are only special when they are spent with the One who created you.

And that is what I have done today, and He has made it more special than all the gifts and cards, and birthday wishes in the world could ever make it. He has created me, He is my Father, and I praise Him for I am fearfully and wonderfully made! (Psalm 139:13)

Today is also the day that I started work on my first job! There was a bit of stress that came from it, which is normal. But God came with me in my little heart and it was a special time with Him, even at my first day of work :)

Our Anchor

                                               
"We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain." Hebrews 6:19

Jesus is our anchor in the storm. He is our very present help in the day of trouble. And when we call upon His name when we feel like we are sinking, He is there, and He will save, and He will rescue us out of the waters...That is something I give thanks about today. What do you praise Him for today?

As you can tell I've been doing some work on my blog! Changing the header, the title, and the template, I've decided I kind of miss blogging. I know I've posted here and there, but believe it or not I use to be quite a devoted blogger posting every few days. Well, life got busy, blogging seemed not so interesting anymore so I dropped out of the blogging world. Even was thinking about deleting my blogs since I didn't use them! But then the last few weeks blogging and posting caught my eye again. And well, long story short, I decided to come back and am going to start fresh with redoing my blogs and getting back into posting more! Hope you're as excited as I am ;) I've lost quite a lot of followers, viewers, and commenters in my going away, but I hope I will begin to gain back new friends!

Cherishing The Present Time

New music, new words, new moments...
Never take for granted the moments God has given you in this present time. We so often get stuck on past memories or beg for the future where we'll be older, have more wisdom, and have life all together (or so we think). But really, without these moments now we wouldn't become the persons we're gonna be in the future. God has something in the NOW for us. He wants to grow us in the present time, He has learning experiences for us. He wants to show Himself to us NOW in this present time.
So instead of wishing for the future,wishing to meet your Prince Charming (or Warrior as I call him), wishing to graduate, wishing to be older and more grown up and all adult-ish, cherish these moments where you're at in life now. God has big plans for you right now! And ya don't wanna miss His opportunities by wasting your time in the present time wishing for the next, the future, the part of life God hasn't set before you yet. Instead put in His hands your future and trust His work. Cherish the moments with Him now, and grow as deeply as you can in Him right now. It's in these short years of our teen years that we can dig a deep foundation secure in Jesus Christ alone. So lets grow abundantly in Him now, in the present, and cherish the moments He's given us. Because very quickly these moments become memories...
