I know it's a bit late, but Merry Christmas! Hope you all had a lovely and blessed Christmas this year celebrating Jesus' beautiful and awe striking birth.
So who all has seen the new movie The Hobbit?!?!? Well, last night I went and saw it with some lovely friends! I think I enjoyed being with my friend more then the movie to tell the truth. Oops...hope I didn't just offend any Lord of The Rings lovers ;) sorry guys...not trying to be mean. lol. But I thought the movie was good. But it isn't my new favorite or anything. Little too many orcs and way to many grouse and ugly things in it. Yuck...I do have to say all the actors did a wonderful job and played their parts marvelous though! Comment and tell me what you guys think of the movie if you've seen it, or the books and such ;) Would love to hear what ya think! Blessings to you!

As The Snow is falling I'm feeling...
Here I am sitting on my bed as the first snow fall blows outside.
Feeling cozy in my sweatpants and hoodie.
Loving the pretty snow flakes that dance outside.
Drinking a delicious cup of hot chocolate.
Feeling blessed to have a warm home on this blizzardy day and a godly family.
Praying for the people out in this icy weather who might be in a ditch somewhere...
And thanking God that His beauty is awe striking and His love forever...

Sweet Moments...
A long time ago before my precious great Grandma died, when I was very young (probably about three yrs. old) we visited her. She was such a gifted piano player and loved playing hymns to glorify the God she loved so much. That must be where I have gotten my enthusiasm to play the piano and glorify God through writing music.
This picture was snapped by my Mom the last time we visited her. And of course, since it was like apart of her, she played the piano while we were there. I was so amazed of the sound coming from the old upright instrument, as a little two or three year old girl, that I wanted to join the music. I remember feeling like I just couldn't help myself from wanting to touch the white key next to my great Grandma's old hand. When I put my little baby-soft hand on the key and pressed down I became ashamed and embarrassed by doing that. "Elizabeth!" I told myself in a little two yr.old way "You just ruined Grama's playing!"
Haha. Yep, that was me as a two yr.old. I felt embarrassed in doing that but now I think it's funny and kinda cute I did it. lol. And it's neat that my Mom captured that quick and special moment of me and my dear little great grandma playing the piano "together".

Winter-Sparkle-Pine Cones!
Today I thought I would share with you all a fun, quick and easy craft you can do anytime! Winter-Sparkle-Pine cones are perfect to make around Christmas so you can make fun winter decorations that you can make arrangements with!
The other day I was in the back yard. We have some big Pine Trees and other big trees in the back and so many pine cones fall out of the Pine Trees. So I thought it would be fun to pick up some good pine cones and dip them in paint then in sparkles and make them some fun little wintery craft decorations!
I found several nice pine cones and sprayed them with the hose and scrubbed them with a tooth brush (because they can be very dirty from being outside in the mud and such). Anyway, after doing that I pulled out a big fan and set them in front of it all day to dry out so they wouldn't become moldy or anything.
Things you need to make Sparkly Pine Cones:
1). First you need some pine cones of your choice and how ever many you would like to make.

Things you need to make Sparkly Pine Cones:
1). First you need some pine cones of your choice and how ever many you would like to make.
2). You need white, silver or gold paint . Two paper plates a sponge paintbrush, and newspaper to lay down.
3). And last but not least you will need sparkles. White, pink, blue, gold, silver, ect...
How to make:
So you're going to want to pour some paint on one of the paper plates, then sparkles on the other. Something like this in the picture.
Then you can either dip your pine cone in the paint on the plate or use the sponge paintbrush to brush the paint onto the tips of the pine cone leaves. Just dipping the tip of the pine cone into the paint seemed easier to me, so I did it that way. But you can do it either way.
When you dip or brush the pine cone in paint you are going to want to do it in segments because if you do the whole pine cone the paint will dry before you can dip it in sparkles.
Then you are going to want to dip the painted tips of the pine cone in the sparkles of your choice so the paint is almost fully covered in sparkles.
{Here is a little sneak-peak of what your finished pine cone should look like after dipping it into paint then sparkles}. Then after it is finished you can let it sit and dry for awhile and there you have it! That is how you make Winter-Sparkle-Pine cones!
I hope you will try this quick craft sometime! Comment and tell me what you think of it and tell me if you are thinking of trying it sometime! Hope you are having a good week! God bless!

The Christmas Tree Farm...
Today we went to the Christmas Tree Farm and got ourselves a nice ol' green Christmas tree! :)
After picking the perfect bushy Christmas tree that would fit comfortably in our home, we headed back to the Christmas Tree Cabin to pay for it and sip some hot chocolate by the wood stove inside the cozy, warm gift shop...
Then after loading our Christmas tree on the trailer we were off for home! There is nothing like going to a tree farm with people you love and picking a tree, knowing Christmas is close by and snow is ready to burst from the gray clouds...I'm very grateful and blessed to have such a wonderful godly family that I can laugh with and know that they are always there to love me...God is so good. Even if I didn't have such a wonderful family, He still deserves the praise and He is still good. His love is unmeasurable and His mercy forever...
God bless!

Remembering God's Work...
"I will remember the deeds of the LORD; yes, I will remember Your wonders of old...
I will ponder all Your works., and meditate on Your mighty deeds....
Your way, O God, is holy. What god is great like our God? You are the God who works wonders;
You have made known Your might among the peoples..."Psalm 77:11-14
Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving tomorrow and ponder and thank God for all His beautiful wonders He has worked out for us... God bless!

Update! Yes, I'm still alive! :) its been awhile!
Hello! I know its been a super long while since I've come on here, and i don't really have much time to write a real post but just wanted to keep you updated on how my commitment is doing with being off of sugar and reading through the Bible (read last post about it). Well, I'm still off of sugar and it's getting easier to not eat it ;) Um....I'm just about to start Job in the Bible so super excited about that! Starting Job is giving me hope that it is possible to read through the whole Bible ;) A lot of the Old Testament books are so long it feels like they won't end ;) But I enjoyed the books I've read so far! And excited to read more! Keep praying! Thanks!
God bless!

Commitment
Good afternoon bloggers! How is your Fall doing with you? I am enjoying the weather and colors with pleasure.
What is new with you? You will never guess what's new with me! Take a guess, any guess....Give up?
Alright, I'll tell you! Starting on Monday October 8th 2012 I have started something.
God has challenged me with a commitment. A commitment to stay off of sugar for one WHOLE year.
"Why?!" you ask.
Well, because to be honest I find myself craving it everyday. And God challenged me to give it up for Him, and to fill that now empty spot with reading my Bible. No, not just reading my Bible, but He challenged me with committing to read the whole entire Bible. Genesis 1 all the way to Revelation 22.
And I started on the 8th. I don't know if it will really take me a whole year to read through the whole Bible or just a few months. I guess it depends on how much I read it during the day.
Instead of craving for more sugar I want to crave His Word which is even better and even sweeter than sugar.
Yep, the first few days have been reallyyyy hard staying away from fresh cookies my sister made or whatever the baked goods might be, but it is totally worth it don't you think? I will be sooooo much more healthy, I won't crave something odd like sugar anymore but I will be craving and hungering more of God's Great Word, I think I will be more self-controlled after this when there is a cookie sitting in front of me just waiting for me to eat it, I will be learning so much more of God's amazing love and truth and will be growing that much more in love in Him and will be desiring Him more.
So that is why I am doing this challenge God has set before me and committing myself to doing this!
It hasn't been that long since I've started and I am already craving for more of God's Word. Cool, eh?
Well, keep me in my prayers that I will not grow tired of this or give up on it, but I will be strengthened by God to do this.
See ya later everyone!
God bless!

Autumn...
Summer is coming to a fast ending and the orange and yellow are silently coming in. The trees colors are turning from their green delight to their orange and yellow beauty. The weather is turning to fresh breath colding air and the skies turn their lovely autumn blue.
The ground is slowly covered with the dried leaves and as you go out to your mailbox the wind sings a soft whisper to you warning you of the cold weather that is on it's way...
In our homes we begin to pull out the Fall decorations and go around the house thinking about how this or that would look nice here or there.
Autumn...
Where God's beauty speaks in glorious color and wonder. Where birds fluff their feathers and get ready to fly north. Where squirrels jump around on the ground pulling together their winter dinners. Where rabbits create their soft cozy homes under ground for the winter.
Autumn...
Where I am thoughtful and awe stricken by how God works and how He creates such beauty and paints with such a different choice of colors on His huge canvas.
Autumn...
Where God continues to show me how faithful He is ALL through the year. Every season. And shows me how good He is and how He takes care of us with gentleness.
Autumn...
Where leaf piles are made and when you go for walks the cool wind makes your cheeks pink and rosy, where cozy sweatshirts are put on.
Autumn...
Where you just want to pour yourself a warm cup of tea and read a good book.
Autumn...
Where I just want to scoot out the piano bench from under the big piano and write dozens of new songs and spend all of my life writing music to praising my Beautiful God.
Autumn...
Where God is still the same and never changing...
What is your favorite thing about Autumn?

My Camera...
Hello everyone! Hope you are all having a good week!
I hope school started well and you are enjoying the Fall coming!
I have some news to tell...some not so happy news (it least for me). Um...Well, you know my nice little camera that has gone with me everywhere I go? Well, that cute little camera of mine that has been a great companion of mine that has captured so many good memories, has taken it's last picture...
Yep...as you can guess, my little camera has broken down, I think for good :'( *sobs*. Some how after taking thousands of pictures on our vacation it kinda broke down.
Well, first off where the battery sits in a little contraption. (You know, like to charge the battery you open the little lid and pull the battery out on the camera?) Well, the little lid thingy broke off awhile ago. I was going to have my brother fix it but then I lost the lid somewhere! Then on our vacation since the lid wasn't there it affected the battery, so sometimes my camera wouldn't turn on or while on would shut off while the lens was still open! (Yes, as you can imagine it wasn't fun).
Then on the way on from our trip the little piece that keeps the battery secure in place that broke off too! So now the battery doesn't even stay in! So sadly, the little piece won't go back in and now my poor little camera sits on my desk broken without being able to be fixed...
So, as you probably can imagine I am quiet sad for now I go without a camera seeing bunches of neat things that would look amazing through my camera lens! It was sad how like my little camera just crumbled apart. (Yep, maybe a bit to cheaply made).
So now I have no new updated pictures to show you. But I will scan through my photography folders and see what I can find that would interest you and upload them into posts.
Well, hope you guys are doing well! God bless!

Psalm 62:6-8
"He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken, On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. Trust in Him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before Him; God is our refuge for us."

Mouse!
Hello everyone! Hope everyone's having a good summer!
I'm enjoying summer that is for sure! I am a summer girl not a winter girl ;) Though I do enjoy blizzards, but only once in awhile ;)
Summer is going wayyyy to quickly for me! It's like I blinked and it's almost August now! Yikes! It feels like I just got done with school and here it is creeping up on me again! :P
Well, I have a little story to tell you all this bright afternoon.
Okay, here we go.
"Once upon there was a girl who was enjoying her morning on the couch in the living room. She was still waking up from her sleep and was enjoying relaxing on the comfy couch.
Suddenly, she saw something run across the floor.
Her mind screamed 'MOUSE!!!' as her eyes met the fury little black-eyed mouse.
Not knowing what to do as she watched the little creature run around the living room she called her brother who was at work. He explained to her that she should grab a bucket and put it over top of the tiny mouse. Then slip cardboard under the bucket to keep the mouse in side until she took the mouse outside and put it in a large bucket to wait for her brother to come home,
Shaking like a leaf, she got a bucket and charged back to the living room.
Still in her P.J's she ran around the living room CHASING the small mouse with a bucket in the hand and her brother on the phone in the other hand.
What a creature! How bold the little gray mouse was to stroll into plain sight in the living room!
"Gotcha!" she said in relief as the bucket was put over top the mouse finally after about two minutes of chasing.
Getting a big piece of cardboard she slipped it under the bucket to take 'Mr.Fancy-Pants' outside.
Her heart beating quickly she gently took the bucket, cardboard and mouse outside and without touching the fuzzy creature she got the mouse into a bigger bucket to wait for her brother.
After doing all this, the girl went back inside and sat down with a sigh of relief. As she sat there she noticed what she just had done! You don't get to chase a mouse everyday! A mouse you're afraid of, at that.
Then she thought about the book she had been reading. 'In A Pit With A Lion On A Snowy Day.' It was about chasing the 'lions' (your fears) in life instead of running from them!
"Wow!I just did that! I literally just chased my fear! Yeah, a mouse. But I chased it instead of running from it!" the girl thought as she smiled to herself.'Soon, I'll be chasing lions! Ha! I wonder when my next 'lion' or should I say 'mouse' will come for me to chase instead of fall back in fear."
That day the girl noticed how important it is to chase your fears instead of run from them. Chasing your fears might not seriously be chasing a mouse or lion, but it is chasing the fear of whatever it is that is keeping you in bondage. It could be a fear of guilt, a fear of doubt, it could be a fear of someone or something. Whatever it might be, remember, don't let it control you. Don't run from it! Chase it! Show it you are not afraid and you have courage to chase it! You will surprise the devil when you don't bow down to his bondage he keeps putting you in and controlling you in. Living for God means chasing the fears, not running for them.
So, go chase those 'lions!' in life!"
THE END.
So, what do ya think of my sweet story?! Isn't it just sooo random about a girl who chased a mouse in her house?! Yeah, I know you must be thinking that.
Well, let me turn on the light on this story. You want to know how I came up with such a story?! I'll tell you.
That girl who chased a mouse around her living room was me. Yep, I chased a little gray mouse around my living room just the other day! Surprised? I took myself my surprise! I can't see myself running around with a bucket chasing a mouse! That just doesn't sound like me! Well, I did though! And that is my latest story of the day! Ha!
Hope you are having a good day!
God bless!

Converse Shoes
My friend did this to her Converse shoes. Isn't that neat looking? She was going to write it on the bottom of the shoe but the bottom of her shoes are like fuzzy so she only put "Romans 16:20" on it instead. Neat eh?!
God bless!
