I have taken up the new hobby of writing music on the guitar! It has been an enjoyable process, and since I self taught myself to play, it has been even more fun to start making my own melodies and writing new original songs.
The piano will always be my first instrument and main one, but I've always wanted to play the guitar too. To expand my instrument playing and experience, and the guitar is a fresh start to writing new music! So I have enjoyed writing and playing on it. For the piano isn't a very easy instrument to pick up and move. Where the guitar you can take wherever you go, and take music in your back pocket that way.
So I'm excited for the music journey ahead and to glorify my King through a new instrument and new originals He will reveal to me through the process.

ReplyDeleteCan I ask how you taught yourself? Like, by using videos, or what? I'm kind of interested in learning guitar myself, and wondered how you did it. :D
It's my older brother's guitar I've been playing on so he has a bunch of chord books so I've been using those. And then yeah, I've been watching YouTube videos on the right way to play. I found an awesome YouTube channel called "Worship Tutorials" and it's a Christian worship leader who does tutorials how to play particular worship songs on the guitar! But he also has videos for beginners and how to play. It really helped me with learning! You should check it out if you decide to play :)
