Friday and Saturday was the 8th grade camp out and my Youth Leader's house!!!!
It was SO much fun!!! We played volley ball for so long on Friday and slept in two big tents. (A girl tent, and a boy tent.) I could hardly sleep all night because it was raining and the girl sleeping next to me talked in her sleep ALL night! Like if I turned over or moved a slight bit she would start talking in her sleep. =) It was SO funny and I snickered to myself a few times because she was talking in her own language! The next day we went canoeing (sorry if this is spelled wrong! My spell check keeps saying it's wrong but every one says that is how it is spelled, and my email spell check says that is how you spell it. So I don't know!)
I was in a canoe with a girl who REALLY knew how to steer so she was in the back and the other girl was the girl who talks in her sleep. Well, I sat in the front and the other girl in the back and the talk sleeping girl in the middle. I don't know why because I've gone canoeing before but this time I was really nervous and scared. We almost tipped a few times and got pushed into some trees from the currants. Then the girl who was sitting in the middle wanted to switch spots with me. So finally we found a good spot to go along side the river bank to switch. We did and I had my back to her in the canoe when I had to sit in the middle. Well, without telling me she stood up. And the girl who was steering I saw her face go VERY pale and her eyes got big. "Okay sit down now!" She said to (lets just call her on here um...? How about Jane.) Jane. But Jane wouldn't sit down! And I was freaking out because we were tipping!!! And I couldn't sit fully in the bottom of the boat because there was so much water. So I was sitting on my feet and that isn't a good way to keep balance. Well, in the end me and (lets call the girl steering on here, Kate.) Kate were screaming loudly because we were tipping over! Finally Jane sat down again.
"Why did you stand up Jane?" I asked her when all was finally calm. "I saw that you were uncomfortable and thought I would trade spots!" She said.
Hahaha I was doing just fine. But we found a place that we could switch spots again and did.
"One of the other reasons why I thought we would switch is because I don't like paddling. It's to hard. I thought it would be fun when I first started but it is way to hard!" Jane said.
We all laughed hard and our adventure was just about over. A few time we were almost tipped because some of the other kids in the other canoes thought it would be fun to bump their canoe into our boat what made me freak out!
Mind you at the end of the time no boat tipped and no one was to wet =) So that was a blessing.
So yes, it was a very fun and full of adventures! And I enjoyed it lots!!!
Well, God bless!
