One of my ALL time favorite Bible verses is Isaiah 61:1-2.
It says The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me, because the LORD has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.
Then verse three says:
to comfort all who mourn; to grant those who mourn in Zion.
I LOVE that verse!! That is my prayer. I want to become this... I want to tell good news to the poor (good news: Jesus Christ) to bind up the brokenhearted. To tell them that God loves them SO much!! My prayer is to be this. I want to comfort those who mourn. Show them that there is hope! And that God can heal them, if you let Him...

oh, i love this verse♥ it's now one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteif i had to pick a favorite passage, it would be psalm 36, because while reading that passage, I felt His voice speak directly to me for the first time. it was in a time of great suffering for me, and hearing Him speak to ME through that passage will stick with me forever :)
