Friday and Saturday was the 8th grade camp out and my Youth Leader's house!!!!
It was SO much fun!!! We played volley ball for so long on Friday and slept in two big tents. (A girl tent, and a boy tent.) I could hardly sleep all night because it was raining and the girl sleeping next to me talked in her sleep ALL night! Like if I turned over or moved a slight bit she would start talking in her sleep. =) It was SO funny and I snickered to myself a few times because she was talking in her own language! The next day we went canoeing (sorry if this is spelled wrong! My spell check keeps saying it's wrong but every one says that is how it is spelled, and my email spell check says that is how you spell it. So I don't know!)
I was in a canoe with a girl who REALLY knew how to steer so she was in the back and the other girl was the girl who talks in her sleep. Well, I sat in the front and the other girl in the back and the talk sleeping girl in the middle. I don't know why because I've gone canoeing before but this time I was really nervous and scared. We almost tipped a few times and got pushed into some trees from the currants. Then the girl who was sitting in the middle wanted to switch spots with me. So finally we found a good spot to go along side the river bank to switch. We did and I had my back to her in the canoe when I had to sit in the middle. Well, without telling me she stood up. And the girl who was steering I saw her face go VERY pale and her eyes got big. "Okay sit down now!" She said to (lets just call her on here um...? How about Jane.) Jane. But Jane wouldn't sit down! And I was freaking out because we were tipping!!! And I couldn't sit fully in the bottom of the boat because there was so much water. So I was sitting on my feet and that isn't a good way to keep balance. Well, in the end me and (lets call the girl steering on here, Kate.) Kate were screaming loudly because we were tipping over! Finally Jane sat down again.
"Why did you stand up Jane?" I asked her when all was finally calm. "I saw that you were uncomfortable and thought I would trade spots!" She said.
Hahaha I was doing just fine. But we found a place that we could switch spots again and did.
"One of the other reasons why I thought we would switch is because I don't like paddling. It's to hard. I thought it would be fun when I first started but it is way to hard!" Jane said.
We all laughed hard and our adventure was just about over. A few time we were almost tipped because some of the other kids in the other canoes thought it would be fun to bump their canoe into our boat what made me freak out!
Mind you at the end of the time no boat tipped and no one was to wet =) So that was a blessing.
So yes, it was a very fun and full of adventures! And I enjoyed it lots!!!
Well, God bless!

Storms...
Last night a huge storm came our way. And a tornado warning was in it. 100 mph winds were told to be coming. So we quickly gathered some valuable things from our rooms like our Bibles and flashlight and stuff like that. And when I'm up stairs running around my room trying to think what I need my brother yelled really loud, "GET DOWN INTO THE BASEMENT NOWWWWW!" And when he says that he means it for the storms was hitting us in like seconds! So without barely anything in my hands except my Bible some socks and my Journals I bolted down the stairs into the hall where the rest of the family was rushing around trying to get to the basement door. The thought bolted through my mind "What if everyone doesn't get down stairs fast enough?" I was so panicked I didn't really think about myself in it all!
As I was running as fast as my legs would carry me to the basement stairs I heard like a train sound and the wind whipping loudly outside. Finally we all reached the basement and went to the corner where it is all cement I was shaking so much I could barely move.
As everyone settled down a bit I started thinking a lot. I thought for sure that my time was coming to see Christ. And the storm got me so thinking about my life and how I've been living it.
I wondered if I was prepared to die. I knew in the back of my mind the storm was going to blow over without doing harm to us and the house, but it grabbed my heart to really thinking about dieing. It really made myself ask the question "Am I ready to die?" I knew I wasn't going to die that night in away but it grabbed me like I said. I never really have thought about the thought of dieing like the way I did last night. And I thought about why I couldn't grab anything I really wanted and needed to take fast before the storm came.
And I thought, "Now really, what do I still have up stairs that I need?" I knew I couldn't go up but I wondered what thing I didn't grab I needed. And nothing came to my mind except my Bible in my hands. And if I think about it I have nothing more valuable then my Bible. That is the only thing that really is so special. I mean when I was really little I know I would have grabbed my stuffed animals and my barbies and baby dolls and all my toys, but nothing important to my life. I have to laugh over the things I would have grabbed when little but now my Bible is the most important to me. I opened my Bible down in the basement last night when I was shivering from the excitement and my the verse I turned to was Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.
That verse meant so much to me last night. It was amazing.
God bless!

Patients...
Hello! I hope your day is a pleasant one! Today I started reading the book An Old Fashioned- Girl. By Louisa M. Alcott. Wow! I love it so far! Have you ever read it or heard of it? It's amazing how Polly is SOOOOO much like me!!! I have to admit I'm not as patient as her at all but am so much like her with so much else! Like she is very sensitive to rude things and has a heart for serving and doesn't care what people think of her. And that is exactly what I'm like! I don't like hanging around people I know aren't good and am very sensitive to things that are not good. Red flags arise in my mind and heart when people are not being good and I don't like when people are rude. I want to serve where ever I go like her and I don't care a bit what people think of me!!!! I don't care if I loose friendships because I love God and won't be quiet about my love for Christ. I've lost friendships over that but I truly don't care!!!!And Polly is so much like me in that way!!! But again I'm not as patient as she is. She is like an angel how patient she is. And I'm afraid I need to work on my patients. All of us have stuff we need to work on and that is one thing I need to work on.
I'm never going to be perfect with patients but I can try my best to be patient for Christ. For that will make me even a better Christian if I work on it.
I really like the author Louisa May Alcott because she writes about things that makes you think. Makes you check your actions. And I truly like that. I want to someday write good novels like that. The cool thing about Polly in this book is that she is 14 too. =) It's a book of her life I think though. Like it ends when she is like in her twenty's but where I am in the book she is 14 too =D
Even in age Polly is like me! lol. I know I'm funny right? =) haha!
Well, pray God will bless you this week!!!
