{Jar Of Blessings}

On January 1st I started something...
Start on January 1st with an empty jar. Throughout the year write the good things that happened to you on little pieces of paper. On December 31st, open the jar and read all the amazing things that happened to you that year...
My friend Brooke posted on her blog this idea she got from somewhere. And I loved the idea so much I just had to do it this year :)
On January 1st I put my first note in my adorable jar! Okay, there is something about glass jars and me. ;) I loveeee glass jars! So this idea made my week!
I got the top from one of our old jam jars we were saving :) And I knew a ribbon would just make the jar that much more cute, so I tied a red one around the top!
I cannot wait when December 31st hits with my little jar full with little cute notes! I think I want to do this every year :) Wouldn't it be cool down the road, like a few years later, and look and see a few jars filled with little notes of happiness?!?! I lovee the idea! Thanks Brooke for posting this little idea on your blog and inspiring me :)
Write me a comment and tell me what you think :) You should try it! There is still time!!! :D
God bless!

Welcome 2013...

Happy New Year! Hope you all have a blessed 2013 and that God would show you the special plans He has for you in 2013. (Jeremiah 29:11)

What are you excited about in 2013? Write a comment and tell away! I can't tell you how much I'm excited about so many things. Excited about the people I meet, being used by God to encourage and love on people more, maybe even transforming a life through Jesus Christ! I am excited for what God will do in my life, the victories I will conquer through Him, the lessons I will learn through mistakes, the things God will reveal to me, listening to His whisper even more, the adventures He has in store for me, and my list could go on. I'm excited to be able to look back at the end of 2013 and see the work God has done in me that year just like I have done looking back at 2012.
There is so much I'm looking forward to in 2013 and I just can't wait to see where my Father will lead me.
I don't have a verse that will take me into 2013 quite yet, but I'm patiently waiting and trusting He will show me His truth if I stay in His Word continually :)
There is a couple of verses though that I do like that are perfect to start the new year off.

"Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I AM doing a new thing; now it springs forth do you not perceive it?" Isaiah 43:18-19

"Make me know Your ways, O LORD; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; for You I will wait all the day long." Psalm 25:4-5

"Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure. Do not swerve to the right or to the left; turn your feet away from evil." Proverbs 4:25-27.

Have a blessed new year! Blessings to you!

Merry Christmas from Lizzie

I know it's a bit late, but Merry Christmas! Hope you all had a lovely and blessed Christmas this year celebrating Jesus' beautiful and awe striking birth.

So who all has seen the new movie The Hobbit?!?!? Well, last night I went and saw it with some lovely friends! I think I enjoyed being with my friend more then the movie to tell the truth. Oops...hope I didn't just offend any Lord of The Rings lovers ;) sorry guys...not trying to be mean. lol. But I thought the movie was good. But it isn't my new favorite or anything. Little too many orcs and way to many grouse and ugly things in it. Yuck...I do have to say all the actors did a wonderful job and played their parts marvelous though! Comment and tell me what you guys think of the movie if you've seen it, or the books and such ;) Would love to hear what ya think! Blessings to you!

As The Snow is falling I'm feeling...

Here I am sitting on my bed as the first snow fall blows outside.
Feeling cozy in my sweatpants and hoodie.
Loving the pretty snow flakes that dance outside.
Drinking a delicious cup of hot chocolate.
Feeling blessed to have a warm home on this blizzardy day and a godly family.
Praying for the people out in this icy weather who might be in a ditch somewhere...
And thanking God that His beauty is awe striking and His love forever...

Sweet Moments...

A long time ago before my precious great Grandma died, when I was very young (probably about three yrs. old) we visited her. She was such a gifted piano player and loved playing hymns to glorify the God she loved so much. That must be where I have gotten my enthusiasm to play the piano and glorify God through writing music.
This picture was snapped by my Mom the last time we visited her. And of course, since it was like apart of her, she played the piano while we were there. I was so amazed of the sound coming from the old upright instrument, as a little two or three year old girl, that I wanted to join the music. I remember feeling like I just couldn't help myself from wanting to touch the white key next to my great Grandma's old hand. When I put my little baby-soft hand on the key and pressed down I became ashamed and embarrassed by doing that.
"Elizabeth!" I told myself in a little two yr.old way "You just ruined Grama's playing!"
Haha. Yep, that was me as a two yr.old. I felt embarrassed in doing that but now I think it's funny and kinda cute I did it. lol. And it's neat that my Mom captured that quick and special moment of me and my dear little great grandma playing the piano "together".

Winter-Sparkle-Pine Cones!

Today I thought I would share with you all a fun, quick and easy craft you can do anytime! Winter-Sparkle-Pine cones are perfect to make around Christmas so you can make fun winter decorations that you can make arrangements with!
The other day I was in the back yard. We have some big Pine Trees and other big trees in the back and so many pine cones fall out of the Pine Trees. So I thought it would be fun to pick up some good pine cones and dip them in paint then in sparkles and make them some fun little wintery craft decorations!
I found several nice pine cones and sprayed them with the hose and scrubbed them with a tooth brush (because they can be very dirty from being outside in the mud and such). Anyway, after doing that I pulled out a big fan and set them in front of it all day to dry out so they wouldn't become moldy or anything.
Things you need to make Sparkly Pine Cones:
1). First you need some pine cones of your choice and how ever many you would like to make.
2). You need white, silver or gold paint . Two paper plates a sponge paintbrush, and newspaper to lay down.
3). And last but not least you will need sparkles. White, pink, blue, gold, silver, ect...
 How to make:
So you're going to want to pour some paint on one of the paper plates, then sparkles on the other. Something like this in the picture.
Then you can either dip your pine cone in the paint on the plate or use the sponge paintbrush to brush the paint onto the tips of the pine cone leaves. Just dipping the tip of the pine cone into the paint seemed easier to me, so I did it that way. But you can do it either way.
When you dip or brush the pine cone in paint you are going to want to do it in segments because if you do the whole pine cone the paint will dry before you can dip it in sparkles.
Then you are going to want to dip the painted tips of the pine cone in the sparkles of your choice so the paint is almost fully covered in sparkles.
{Here is a little sneak-peak of what your finished pine cone should look like after dipping it into paint then sparkles}. Then after it is finished you can let it sit and dry for awhile and there you have it! That is how you make Winter-Sparkle-Pine cones!
I hope you will try this quick craft sometime! Comment and tell me what you think of it and tell me if you are thinking of trying it sometime! Hope you are having a good week! God bless!

Christmas is coming!

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulders, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace."
                                         Isaiah 9:6
